UCL Welfare Services

Services

If you have cancer you qualify under Disability & Equality Act, UCL can offer you:

  • Course adjustments & ongoing arrangements - this includes matters pertaining to lectures, assignments, exams, etc.

  • Advice on eligibility for 1:1 mentoring

  • Support in applying for Disabled Students Allowance (international students are eligible for similar funding by UCL themselves)

  • Opportunities for six counselling sessions per year with the Student Psychological and Counselling service

If cancer has impacted your life in another way, UCL Welfare Services can:

  • Discuss your concerns involving mental health

  • Provide a non-judgemental listening space for you to unload your stresses and concerns

  • Arrange or signpost ongoing mental health support either with UCL or an external body
